Ever wondered what actually happens in a biology lab? So I made these. Two episodes of animated shorts, cooked up with a lab at Cornell. Science education, but make it fun.
Episode I
Meet Cat. She's a mouse with a telescope and a whole lot of curiosity.
From afar, she watches the goings-on in a biology lab — fascinated by everything she sees. Then one day, she spots a hiring poster. And decides: why not give it a shot?
Episode II
After much effort, Cat makes it to the lab — perched in a giant tree — for her interview. But she only makes it as far as the ground level.
There, she meets a radio-shaped robot, who tells her all about auxin and the fascinating world of plant development.

The Miner Dreamed Of A Giant | 8m41s |2024
An apprentice miner sitting in a classroom dreamed of giants, while other apprentices tried to warn it by throwing ore at its head. Later, after the miner's place is poisoned, the survivor flees to the protected place, unable to enter and encountering large quantities of toy figures.

"My Private Volcano" is a curious 3D animation combined with 2D animation directed by Xi Chen.
The anime girls collectively feasted on the lifecycle of the white robots and brought tears to the world. The tear fell on the heads of the anime girls, who took turns being struck by the tear.

Xi Chen is a versatile artist dedicated to crafting fictional worlds that explore contemporary and personal experiences.
He is an expert in painting and an animator. He is among the few individuals in the world capable of single-handedly producing feature animations, from concept art, story, and asset production to every aspect of sound and every frame of animation.
